Come through the door
Same story, different day
Screaming, yelling, and stomping
There has to be a better way
Do this and do that
Go the store, come right back.
Don’t forget the laundry
Everything they lack.
And let’s not forget to
Cook dinner and pay the bills
Well let me tell you
I’ve had my fill
I’m done bailing you out
Step up to the plate
Take responsibility, trust me
The rewards will be great
I won’t always be here
Soon you will see
I’ll be off dancing far away
Maybe by the sea
I’ve realized what I’m worth
Hopefully you will too
And then you can take of
All the things I do
Until then, beware
Every move pushes me harder
The day is drawing near
And you’ll miss your daughter.
I know I should comment on this beautiful poem in an intellectual and thoughtful way, but super burn was the first though that came to mind. I enjoyed this immensely.
